Maine Sport Oufitters (MSO) provides tours and rentals to enable travelers to experience the great outdoors and all that Midcoast Maine offers. You will go home knowing why Maine is known as Vacation Land. Come experience life the way it should be. In most instances, with advance notice, MSO will drop off/pick up the equipment at the Hawthorn Inn for you.

Winter Equipment Rentals

MSO is your winter equipment headquarters. Click here for snowshoe, skate and cross country ski rental information. The Camden Snow Bowl offers Alpine ski/snowboard and snow shoe rentals.

Sea Kakaying Tours

MSO offers a number of sea kayaking tours that can accommodate any skill level, schedule, and budget. Please click here to get the details and price of all trips offered as well as the cancellation policy.

Biking

If you would like to cycle while you are visiting Maine but can’t bring your own bike. Rent one from MSO and in most instances with advance notice, they can drop it off here at the inn for you. Details of bike rentals are found here.
